Dumas ISD is looking for a Head Volleyball Coach to begin the 2018-2019 school year.

Primary Purpose:

To oversee the entire 7-12 grade volleyball program. Time will be alloted for the head coach to be in both of the Jr. High athletic periods and all of the high school athletic periods. This position pays 17 extra days, $384.00 towards insurance and the head coaching stipend is negotiable. There will also be a second sport to coach with an additional $2000.00 stipend. Dumas ISD would like the head coach to develop a plan for athletic growth during the season, off season, and summer workouts. The teaching field is currently Physical Education but any teaching field will be considered. 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.

Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level

assigned.

Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of academic subject assigned

General knowledge of curriculum and instruction

Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to develop athletes to compete at the highest level of competition

Willingness to work with and support other sports

Experience:

Would prefer successful head volleyball coaching experience but all applicants will be considered.
